Nothing’s better than a cold drink after a fun day of beach-going and golfing on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Dip into some delicious cocktails at these three scenic resort bars.
It’s safe to say that Hilton Head Island is a vacationer’s dream. From its 12 miles of breathtaking beaches to its impeccable golf courses, the beautiful island has it all. And what better way to decompress after a day of cycling, water sports and golfing than with a refreshing cocktail in hand? These three scenic poolside bars in Hilton Head are the perfect places to do just that.
Sea Salts Beverage Company
You can’t beat the peaceful setting of Sea Salts Beverage Company. Located at Marriott’s SurfWatch, the bar and grill is an ideal spot for enjoying Hilton Head’s quintessential beach atmosphere. Take in exquisite views of majestic stretches of sea oats and the glistening Atlantic while enjoying some of the best drinks in town.
As you’re soaking up the ambience, why not splurge on a Carolina Margarita or a Rum Bucket? Or you can go for a beer — the on-tap Surf Sweet Wheat was created just for Sea Salts by a local brewery. The food here is first-rate, too; I suggest trying the tasty mahi-mahi fish tacos.
The seasonal bar also hosts nightly live music and a popular happy hour, making it a favorite among locals and returning visitors. You can even visit The Marketplace, in the lobby of Marriott’s SurfWatch, to grab a piece of commemorative Sea Salts garb.
All Y’all’s Bar & Grill
Once you visit All Y’all’s, you’ll have a hard time leaving. Nestled in Marriott’s Barony Beach Club, the poolside bar is, as it boasts, “108 steps until your toes hit the sand.” So if you time it right, you could finish an ocean swim and reward yourself with a drink in less than a minute!
While you’re here, plan to eat — the grill features a wide range of delicious options, including burgers, sandwiches, tacos, salads, seafood and flatbreads. And make sure to order a libation along with your meal; with more than 20 specialty cocktails, you’ll have plenty to choose from. Try the Sweet Tea Margarita, the Queen Anne’s Revenge or the Storm Surge — a piña colada blended with strawberry purée that happens to be the bar’s most popular drink. Another great option for a group? The Cruzan Rum Bucket: five flavored rums blended with three juices resulting in a 32-ounce thirst-quench.
All Y’All’s is open year round and a daily happy hour (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) comes in handy when you want to kick back after a day of energizing activities.
Loggerhead Landing Pool Bar
After an adventurous day on the island, Loggerhead Landing at Marriott’s Grande Ocean is a terrific place to unwind. Once there, you’ll feel immersed in an island atmosphere, thanks to spectacular views of the Atlantic and delicious frozen drinks. Just 30 feet from the beach, the poolside bar (open March to November) gets its name from the Loggerhead sea turtle, South Carolina’s state reptile. There’s even a sea turtle nesting area next to the hotel, which you can check out if you’re an animal lover.
Tropical classics, from the Strawberry Daiquiri to the Piña Colada, anchor the cocktail menu, along with the signature drink, the fruity Grande Ocean Crush. With nightly live music, daily drink specials and a courteous staff, Loggerhead Landing will definitely help you live your best island life.
